King Marbles® Launches the World’s First “Natural Marble Championships” at Oriental Beach Village, Phang Nga

Competitors Told: “Bring Your Marbles… Leave Everything Else at Home!”

By Quentin Thrustbucket, Chief Barely-Dressed Correspondent

ORIENTAL BEACH VILLAGE, PHANG NGA PROVINCE, THAILAND — The management team at King Marbles® has caused a worldwide sensation after announcing plans to host what it proudly describes as the world’s first Natural Marble Championships at the beautiful Oriental Beach Village in Thailand’s Phang Nga Province.

The company insists the event is all about “freedom, fun and the love of marbles.”

However, one rather unusual rule has grabbed everyone’s attention.

Competitors are asked to arrive…

“With nothing but their marbles.”

Within hours, social media exploded with confused entrants asking whether they had misunderstood the dress code.

King Marbles Chief Executive Sir Rodney Rollingstone quickly reassured everyone.

“We’re not interested in expensive sportswear,” he explained.

“The only things we want competitors concentrating on are accurate shooting, good sportsmanship and remembering plenty of sunscreen.”

The championship is expected to attract marble enthusiasts from more than 50 countries, all hoping to lift the prestigious Golden King Marble Trophy.

Organisers have published the official rules, which include:

  • No hiding spare marbles in suspicious places.
  • No polishing your marble after the starting whistle.
  • No distracting opponents by asking where they left their clothes.
  • Plenty of water breaks.
  • Spectators must keep their attention firmly on the marble action.

Quentin Thrustbucket travelled to Oriental Beach Village ahead of the event and spoke to one nervous competitor from Australia.

“What made you enter?”

He replied:

“I only read the first half of the advert.”

“I thought it said ‘International Marble Championships.'”

“I completely missed the word ‘Natural.'”

Local businesses are already enjoying an unexpected boom.

Hotels report record bookings.

Restaurants are preparing special “King Marble Burgers.”

Meanwhile, local shops have completely sold out of beach towels, flip-flops and sunscreen.

One shop owner laughed:

“I’ve never sold so much SPF 50 in my life.”

The opening ceremony promises to be unforgettable, with traditional Thai dancers, live music and a spectacular parade of competitors proudly carrying their national flags…

…while doing their very best to stay behind strategically positioned King Marbles banners.

Chief referee Barry “The Boulder” Briggs admitted organisers have considered every possible problem.

“The only thing we’re really worried about,” he said,

“is somebody bending down to collect a marble at exactly the wrong moment.”

Medical staff have already been placed on standby—not because of injuries, but because several spectators reportedly laughed so hard during the practice sessions they nearly fell off their beach chairs.

King Marbles says the competition is intended to celebrate friendship, humour and the worldwide marble community.

A company spokesperson summed it up perfectly:

“At King Marbles, we believe life is too short to take everything seriously.”

“Sometimes you’ve just got to lose your marbles.”

At the time of publication, registration had exceeded all expectations, with organisers confirming that the championship had become the most talked-about marble event in company history.
